My Grandmother Elsie Marshall was an artist (a part from running a school, coaching women's basketball and softball teams). Her art hangs in the personal galleries of family and perhaps a few good friends. Recently my mother has made copies of most of her sketches so that all members of the family can enjoy her talents. I have decided that her skills can't be hoarded by me any longer - and so I share her with you, dear friend, to admire and be inspired by. So here is exhibit one in the Elsie's Girls Collection.
I am sorry to say Grandmother did not give titles to any of her art. So, dear friend, I propose a challenge and a give away. Yay! My first give away! This lovely lady needs a name and a story. Can you do that for us? Isn't she just perfect for October wearing a rather large black hat - hmmm....I wonder what that is all about? I will choose the best one, post it and send you a 8in x 11in copy of her! You have until Thursday Oct 29th to send it to me!
My email is stacyanne31@yahoo.ca
Ooh this is exciting! I think Grandmother would be so pleased. Bonne chance!
Beautiful artwork! I will see if Sinéad want's to participate. Thanks Stacy!
